
In 2022, Dr. Minev earned his Ph.D. from the Faculty of Physics at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski,” Bulgaria. Throughout his academic journey, he has developed a strong interest in observational astronomy.
Dr. Minev has gained valuable experience working with telescopes at the renowned Rozhen National Astronomical Observatory in Bulgaria. Additionally, he is skilled in operating portable astronomical equipment. From 2016 to 2021, Dr. Minev focused his research efforts on studying high-energy emissions from distant objects for the Mass Change And Geosciences International Constellation (MAGIC) project. During this time, he had the privilege of operating two gamma-ray telescopes located on the Canary Islands, contributing to the understanding of these energetic phenomena.
In recent years, Dr. Minev has been involved in important discoveries related to gamma-ray astronomy and active galactic nuclei studies, showcasing his commitment to advancing our knowledge of these intriguing areas of astronomy.
